A new post-doctoral position will be available soon at the University of Milano-Bicocca to work in the MoMo lab on the visual identification of morphologically complex words. The project will involve psycholinguistic and computational studies, and is funded by a 4-year grant of the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research worth around 470K Euros. The lab features a dedicated room for behavioural testing and a high-performance computing facility for computational modeling and advanced data analysis. Eye-tracking, EEG, TMS and fMRI facilities are also available at the departmental level.
The post is ideally suited for experimental psychologists and computational scientists who already have some experience in post-doctoral research and want to work in a young and stimulating environment with some degree of independence; however, fresh PhDs with no previous post-doctoral experience are also welcome to apply. Knowledge of Italian is NOT an essential requirement.
The post is for 23 months and is due to start on January 1st, 2013. More information on the lab head and the activity involved by the research project can be found at www.davidecrepaldi.net.
The official job call is out on the website of the University of Milano Bicocca HERE. Those who are interested in the post are encouraged to send an e-mail to David Crepaldi at any time.
The deadline for applications is November 22nd; interviews will be held on November 30th and can also be carried out over the phone or via VoIP applications (such as Skype).
